I introduced these blocks to my preschool class when we began learning about nursery rhymes. The kids were drawn to them because of the pictures and colors and, even as pre-readers, quickly began identifying what nursery rhymes they were depicting. There are so many uses for these for a range of ages other than the obvious stacking and building - sorting, picture stories, learning to read, sequencing, and more. I've since purchased the upper and lowercase alphabet blocks from the same company because they are so visually appealing and the quality is so great. They've withstood many uses in the short time we've had them and still look brand new. I can tell they'll be lasting a long, long time and am absolutely happy with my purchases.

I'm a kindergarten teacher and a mom of two young children, so I have a bit of a block obsession. I love these blocks. They are the perfect size for children's hands. They're not so small that they are difficult to stack in a sturdy tower, but not big and heavy either. The nursery rhyme design is beautiful--two pictures on each block. I originally bought them for my son, but just bought a second set for my niece. My son used to just enjoy stacking them, but now he loves to hand me blocks so that I will read the rhymes to him before we stack them up. We've used them a lot and they are still in good shape. The paint does chip off a bit at the edges over time, but just enough to make them look loved. If you are looking for some nice blocks, buy these. You won't regret it.
